An awesome summer camp experience!Our Camp Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program is designed to offer qualified young people an opportunity to prepare for positions such as camp counselors.  Emphasis is placed upon developing leadership skills, sensitivity to children, and program skills.  Granby camp staff, along with our Assistant Camp Director, will provide your young teen with leadership skills and how to work with children.  CITs will build self-confidence and learn how to make decisions - both independently and as a team - and how to manage responsibility for themselves and for others.  CITs get to enjoy the same activities they loved as campers, too.  Fee includes CIT t-shirts.  The Counselor-In-Training program is an intensive, hands-on training experience that gives teen campers valuable insight into the role of a camp counselor.  CITs must be willing to commit the required energy, enthusiasm, and positive attitude to all aspects of the training program.  Applicants must be at least 14 years old at the start of their CIT session.Applicants must complete an application form, submit references and attend an interview.

5:00 PM - 6:30 PM    Pickleball: Adult Summer Program with Gigs and Kim - Pickleball: Adult Summer Program with Gigs: 5-6:30pm
Do you want to learn the game of Pickleball.....Or do you already know how to play and looking for a place to play this fun game with your your friends and also meet new people? Join us for this 6 week program that is being offered on Wednesday evenings at Salmon Brook Park on the tennis courts (also lined for pickleball)! All abilities are welcome! Equipment will be provided or you are welcome to bring your own racquet. Please wear sneakers and bring your own water bottle. Nancy Geaglone, GMHS PE Instructor & Kim Chamberlain Enfield Schools PE Instructor are running these sessions. They will be teaching the game/rules to any interested beginners and will set up tourneys for the experienced players. **NOTE: The 6:30pm (Gigs) & 5:00pm (Kim) classes are for Intermediate-Advanced players only. This lifelong activity  is gaining a lot of popularity and fun for all ages!

Our youth tennis lessons are geared to the beginner and intermediate youth player. Summer youth tennis lessons are instructed by Kevin Imbt, GMHS Tennis team Coach. Participants should bring an appropriately sized racquet, lots of water, towel and sneakers. Our lessons lessons are held Mondays-Thurdays; Fridays will be used to make up cancelled lessons due to heavy rain, etc. Lessons are held at the Salmon Brook Park Tennis Courts. Don't wait to register as lessons tend to fill quickly.

Soccer Shots Summer Camp will provide campers with an opportunity to develop their soccer skills, their character, and their creativity. During the week we will have a whole lot of soccer. In addition, we will have a variety of other age-appropriate learning such as crafts, team building exercises, snack-time- we might even have a Soccer Story time!! This program will be introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. Your child should bring sunscreen, water, snack and appropriate footwear. Our coaches will bring the energy and everything else! Each child will receive a Soccer Shots summer camp shirt.

Soccer Shots Summer Camp will provide campers with an opportunity to develop their soccer skills, their character, and their creativity. During the week we will have a whole lot of soccer. In addition, we will have a variety of other age-appropriate learning such as crafts, team building exercises, snack-time- we might even have a Soccer Story time!! Utilizing creative and imaginative games we will focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting goals.
