3:00 PM - 4:30 PM    Wrestling: Youth Wrestlling - Intro to Wrestling for Grades 6-12
Explore the fundamentals of Folkstyle wrestling overseen by Head Granby Memorial Coach Nick Watson. Coach Watson will be working with the ages 5-10 years and Coach Liam Kirkpatrick will be working with grades 6-12. This 6 week program will teach basic stance, footwork, game sense and camaraderie. Team and individual development will be a primary focus. This is a great start to learning what wrestling is all about, and great preparation to play at the next level, including at the high school! If your child plays other sports, this will also enhance balance, body control, agility and mental strength with the other sports they play. Participants should wear shorts and a t-shirt. Socks are ok, but wrestling shoes are are preferred. Head gear is also recommended. Please no jeans, snaps, buttons or jewelry.  NOTE: If any make up dates are needed, they will be held on the next day.....the Thursday after the scheduled Wednesday. Instructor will notify. Here is a great article that was published in both Forbes and the Wall Street Journal: Why Wrestlers Make the Best Employees
