8:00 AM - 6:00 PM    2025 Fall Youth Recreational Soccer - U10 ('16/'17 Birth Year Boys) Granby Rec Soccer: 2025
This is a recreational league where the primary objective of the Youth Soccer Program is for the players to develop skills, learn good sportsmanship and above all, have fun. The emphasis is on self-improvement - to provide each player the opportunity to reach his/her own maximum potential development for the enjoyment of soccer. The emphasis is NOT on winning: each child will contribute to the “We, the Team” concept through equal and fair play.FUNdamentals (Grade K-1) are co-ed teams. This is a two-year program where different skills are introduced and built upon each year. Small sided scrimmages will be incorporated as well. Soccer Shots coaches will oversee the 1-hour sessions beginning at 1PM (Gr K.) and 2:15PM (Gr. 1). There are no weekly practices for the K & 1st Grade levels. Cleats are not required. First day is Saturday, Sept 6th and runs through Nov 1st @ SBP. *No soccer on Oct 11th. Each child should bring their own #3 size ball. **If you are interested in volunteering to assist with coaching, please contact Terri @ 860-844-5289 or tziemnicki@granby-ct.gov. U8/Grade 2 is co-ed; Like grades 3-8, this division is run by volunteer coaches who will pick a night during the week for the weekly practices. Grade 2 practices once a week and then has 1 game on Saturdays from 3:30-4:30pm at SBP. The Saturday games will be organized/reffed by Soccer Shots coaches and in house.....no travel to other towns. The first Saturday will be Sept 6th and runs through Nov 1st @ SBP. *No soccer on Oct 11th. Each child should bring their own #3 size ball. Officials are Needed! Are you interested in making some money and officiate the Granby Youth Soccer games on Saturdays during the fall? Games are for boys and girls U10, U12 and U14.  Anyone age 13 and over interested in being a paid official should register online. The season runs September 6 - November 1. No games over the Columbus Day holiday weekend. Games will be held at Salmon Brook Park.

Soccer Shots Mini is designed for 2 year olds and is  a high-energy program introducing children to fundamental soccer principles, such as using your feet, dribbling and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, songs and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. This is a recreational league where the primary objective of the Youth Soccer Program is for the players to develop skills, learn good sportsmanship and above all, have fun. The emphasis is on self-improvement - to provide each player the opportunity to reach his/her own maximum potential development for the enjoyment of soccer. The emphasis is NOT on winning: each child will contribute to the “We, the Team” concept through equal and fair play.FUNdamentals (Grade K-1) are co-ed teams. This is a two-year program where different skills are introduced and built upon each year. Small sided scrimmages will be incorporated as well. Soccer Shots coaches will oversee the 1-hour sessions beginning at 1PM (Gr K.) and 2:15PM (Gr. 1). There are no weekly practices for the K & 1st Grade levels. Cleats are not required. Soccer Shots coaches will oversee the 1-hour sessions beginning at 1PM (Gr K.) and 2:15PM (Gr. 1). There are no weekly practices for the K & 1st Grade levels. Cleats are not required. Practices begin the week of August 25th. A colored tshirt and socks will be handed out prior to the first game. There will be a coaches meeting to select teams on Saturday, August 16th from 1-2pm in the Gathering Room at Salmon Brook Park. U10, U12  & U14: There will be separate girls and boys teams.There will be some local travel for grades 3-8.  We participate in the Farmington Valley Recreation Soccer League at U10-U14 levels.  Children are to be registered in their appropriate age/grade division.   We are not responsible for practice or game cancellations due to conditions beyond our control. Any Kindergarten - 2nd grade not guaranteed a jersey/socks once the order has been put in on Aug 18th.Refunds – Refunds are granted up to 5 business days prior to the start of the program less a 10% administrative fee. If cancellation is made with 5 business days of the program start a 35% admin/cancellation fee will apply.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations once the program starts except for a Medical reason with a doctor’s note.U-8, U10-U14 Coaches Meeting: For those interested in coaching: There will be a meeting to put the teams together on Saturday, August 16th Held in the Gathering Room at SBP: U-8 Boys & Girls: 1-2pm; U10 Boys & Girls: 2-3pm; U12 Boys & Girls: 3-4pm; U14 Boys & Girls: 4-5pm. Team assignments are also based on the information you give us as to the night your child is NOT available for practices (grades 3-8). Changes in your personal schedule do not necessitate our accommodating your change.Parent Volunteers - Parent volunteers are a vital part of our youth sports programs. Parents can assist in various ways by being coaches or assistant coaches.
