After School Group Ukulele Fall 2026 (Grades 6-12)
NEW PROGRAM: Group Ukulele is a chance for students in Grades 6-12 to learn how to play the ukulele in a group setting. Students will have a chance to receive both individual and large group instruction in a relaxed environment. Students will learn about the parts of the ukulele, how to tune ukuleles, how to read a chord chart, and strumming techniques to accompany songs. Students can bring their own instrument or use one of the soprano ukuleles. The instructor for this program is Ms. Ruth Rivera who is the Director of GMMS Choirs and Grades 7 & 8 Music Appreciation Teacher. This class is being held in the GMMS Choir Room.
*A $20 material fee to cover the cost to obtain and copy sheet music used in the program, as well as instrument maintenance should be given directly to Ms. Rivera at the first class.
