Join Skills With Wes every Thursday afternoon from 3:30 to sunset for a controlled environment mountain biking skills progression session at Salmon Brook Park. Coach Wes will choose two skills to work on for the session, one easy skill and one difficult skill. Each skill will aid the other in terms of progression. For example, the easy skill, will be a beginner skill, which needs to be mastered in order to achieve the advanced skill {wheel lifts to jumps | ratcheting to pedal lift | manual to bunny hops | advanced braking to steep descending - Some example of skills we will cover} We will work on all facets of core bike handling skills which can be applied to easy and advanced obstacles out on the trails. This class will be great for both beginners and more experienced intermediate riders as the skills covered will be relevant across all skill levels and experience. So if you’re new to mountain biking please join us! And if you are experienced and want to take your riding to the next level then this will also be e great class. Class starts from 3:30 but you can arrive any time as we go to sunset. The nature of the class is such that you can just show up and start training. Coach Wes will instruct you as you arrive. If you have 30-45 minutes to spare or if you can join for the whole class it doesn’t matter, you will learn A LOT! We will be using training aids and mobile obstacles to progress our skills in a safe and controlled yet challenging way.
