Learning to protect yourself starts long before a dangerous situation happens.
While middle school, high school, graduation and beyond can be some of the most exciting chapters in a young person’s life, they can also bring some moments of fear and vulnerability.
Whether it’s finding yourself in an uncomfortable situation or around people that make you feel uneasy, knowing how to protect yourself is a critical life skill.
This two-hour interactive class focuses heavily on prevention. You’ll learn how to sharpen your situational awareness skills- the ability to see, understand, and react to what’s happening around you.
You’ll discover how to trust and fine-tune your intuition and develop critical thinking skills to recognize and avoid potential danger before it escalates.
You will also gain insight into the mindset of a would-be attacker, learning basic self-defense techniques. These simple, effective moves are designed for anyone to learn. You’ll practice how to escape from common grabs, holds and choking situations. Allowing you to react with confidence. Dress comfortably & bring a water bottle. No experience needed- open to all fitness levels.
The Instructor is Cheri DeMaria who is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae kwon Do and a Certified Situational Awareness Instructor.
