Basketball- Travel Tryouts (Grades 5-8)

Granby Recreation along with the Granby Memorial High School Coaches are now collaborating with the Granby Basketball Travel Program for grades 5-8. Registration for travel basketball tryouts will begin on September 7th for the 2024-25 Granby Travel Basketball season. If you reside in Granby or Hartland, and you have a son or daughter who is in 5th-8th grade for this current 24-25 school year and is interested in competitive travel basketball, you are welcome to register. 

Tryouts will be on October 1st & 2nd at Granby Memorial High School and will be conducted by The Court Basketball. The tryouts will be a skill based clinic format where players will do various drills and will be evaluated by The Court as an unbiased evaluator. There is a non refundable tryout fee of $15/person. 

The grades and times are listed below:
Grade 5 & 6 Girls: Tue, Oct 1st: 6:30-8:00pm
Grade 7 & 8 Girls: Tue, Oct 1st: 8:00-9:30pm

Grade 5 & 6 Boys: Wed, Oct 2nd: 6:30-8:00pm
Grade 7 & 8 Boys: Wed, Oct 2nd: 8:00-9:30pm

You must attend tryouts to be considered selection for a team.

Any child in these grades interested in trying out for Travel Basketball should attend the tryout listed above. If your child doesn't make the Travel team, Granby Recreation is also running a  Park & Recreation Basketball Program with more info posted soon.
