Summer Band Camp

This program consists of specialized music instruction designed to provide students with a positive, encouraging musical experience during the summer when they can work in a more relaxed environment than during the school year. The goal of the program is to help students develop musical and technical skills by playing in a band setting. Granby’s Summer Band is for students entering 5th through 9th grade with at least one year of playing experience. Students will perform an informal concert on the Friday of each week (weather permitting).
Any older high school aged student interested in being a volunteer should email Mrs. Warner for an application (or see Mr. Bailey for a hard copy). All volunteer applications must be submitted by June 15th (space is limited).

What to bring?
Students should bring a snack, water bottle, instrument, pencil and music to camp each day. All music will be distributed in a folder during the first day of camp.
The purchase of the Summer Band Camp Materials Fee is required in order to be able to register for Summer Band Camp. This fee includes a Band Camp tee shirt and the cost associated with obtaining and copying sheet music used in the program. Only one purchase per camper is required regardless of how many weeks they will attend.
